Where is the best place to live in Boston?

im single

Don't live in Boston. Live in the surrounding towns.

uhmm on the beach =]

In a house, so I hear anyway.

At the.... UNION OYSTER HOUSE !

Every time I GO TO BOSTON.... I stay there!

And Eat... and eat... and eat !

Thanks for Asking ! RR

My brother worked for Boston Edison, and he said it was better to like outside the city. I guess we are all finding that in the cities were we are located. Thank God for modern transportation mehods.

Beacon Hill

Beacon Hill (if you can afford it)

Cambridge is nice for single people. Lots of restaurants, nightlife, college atmosphere (Harvard, MIT...).

Try and pick a place on the Red line or Green line of the MBTA and avoid living way out in the 'burbs where its all married families and working commuters who never have time to socialize.

Live out near Ayer, Leominster, Gardner, Worchestershire, Shirley, Concord, etc and enjoy the countryside! Save wear and tear and take the train.

Brookline
Newton
South Boston
Cambridge

V-stario, beverly is full of junkies and the people there are always angry and depressed and hate each other. I use to work up there, what a bunch of nut cases

beacon hill....it's gorgeous but pricey

I like the NorthShore. Beverly, Lynn, Salem... places like that.

Boston Magazine has a good article about the best places to live in Boston . You might be interested in reading that.

SALEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are some nice parts of cambridge if you are considering central square here is a site that will tell you all kinds of places in central square.

Becan Hill is gorgeous; and you occasionally see a few "famous" passer-goers such as Christopher Walkin (From Hairspray and various films) The govener of Mass. (Deval Patrick) A few red sox players, and the most recent was Giselle one of the Victorias Secret Models.

However, staying on the outskirts of Boston is just as good i would suggest something relativley close to the train for easy and quick access.

Gorgeous cities and towns, the suburbs of boston are Salem, Marblehead, Lynn (But only certain sides!) Saugus, Swampscott, and Winthrop and small community it should practically be a part of boston. You can see boston from the beach down there and your litterally a minute away. They have condos up for sale called the Atlantis Marinas, They are ocean View and you can see boston out the window, however they are quite pricy.

Good Luck!

Try one of those areas that have a lot of college and post-college kids (Allston, Brighton, or even adjacent Cambridge or Somerville). They have lower rents, a lot of single people, clubs, and restaurants that are affordable.

Ask at rental places in those areas. They know the neighborhoods for amenities and safety.
