If Belgium split into two countries, who would get Brussels?

I had to redo this question because the other was unclear.

What I mean is, if Belgium split between the Flemish and the French, into two countries, who would get Brussels? Would it be the Flemish because it's in their territory? Because technically the capital territory is neutral. I hope it wouldn't be another Berlin.

First off all...Belgium will never split!
And maybe Brussels could be the main reason...
No way the Flemish would let go off Brussels, since it's in our territory and the Walloons will never let it go because most off the population speaks French...
One way to go would be to split Belgium in three parts but that's to ridiculous...
So rest assure...all things will stay as they are...
Besides, the majority off Belgians, don't want Belgium to split you know...

Definitely the French would get Brussels

The best thing of course is not to split an already VERY small country. But I believe the Brussels question is the real dilemna for politicians. The vast majority of people in Brussels speak French, so if it goes back to Flandern, than it would be quite a linguitsic problem.
However, I think the main reason Belgium still is not split in 2 is because nobody could or would agree on where Brussels has to go. It's all part of giving up and/or gaining territory, economic power, etc.
Being a Brusseleer and also quite fed up with those never ending fights in between Flandern and Wallonia, I'd love to have Brussels declared the first free city of Europe and not being part of any government but a sort of city state. But this isn't very realistic.
Let's hope they find an agreement that takes into consideration more than just Flandern and Wallonia, but also Brussels and Eupen.

At the moment the n掳1 language in Brussels is French, and on the second place is English. Dutch is only on the fourth place behind Arabic I believe.

Brussels, with all the European institutions is so multicultural, that neither Flanders or Wallonia could claim it. If the country should split, and I don't believe it will, some people believe that Brussels will be given some kind of Washington D.C status. But, as my fellow countrymen and women also pointed out, Brussels is really th茅 reason why our country cannot be split up that easely.

Brussels have always been the same refusing to speak Flemish ,and its wrong Political ja ja but most Belgians refuse to speak french when in Brussels?

Simple to the country that supported us all the way Luxembourg(Luxemburg).

Netherlands would get it if nothing is solved politically. You actually expect the French to fight?
