How far is this place Manipal which is situated in Mangalore, from Bangalore? Pls help me out....?

How long does it take by bus to reach that place....Plssssssss help!!

Manipal is, you can say, a part of the Temple Town Udupi. This town is located in the rocky hinterland of the Malabar Coast of south west India, about 8 km (5 mi) from the Arabian Sea. From its location on a plateau, it commands a stunning view of the Arabian Sea to the west and the Western Ghats range to the east. It is situated a few kilometres from the temple city of Udupi, and is 60 km (37 mi) north of Mangalore. From Bangalore Manipal would be 370 Km.

for going to Manipal you need not go to Mangalore and you can get down at Udupi and proceed. There are very frequesnt bus services from Bangalore to Mangalore and Udupi it would take about 12 hours time. Please take KSRTC bus, preferably Volvo service and the journey will be comfortable.

Recently Indian Railways have introduced train service from Bangalore to Mangalore and it will reach you there overnight. -
