Is Texas a neocon paradise? |
Is Texas a neocon paradise? Texas is a big state with a fairly diverse population but you will find more than your share of the right wing people here, but even in CA they are present. I suppose that depends on WHERE in Texas you live. Austin most certainly is not as it tends to be quite liberal. And while the exurbs of, say, Dallas are quite conservative the City and County of Dallas are fairly liberal (every Republican that ran contested in the recent mid-terms was swept from office by Democrats). Political analysts tend to agree that Texas is trending more and more "blue" because of the rise of the Latino population which, historically, tends to vote Democrat. |
