I want to move to Austin Tx.?

What is it like? I have been once for two days on a drive throu from Cali to MO. I went to Aussie's Vollybar. Had a great time. I notice there are a lot of beautiful people in Texas, are they just as nice?

Thank you so much!

Austin is pretty a pretty nice place with good weather and a nice outdoor scene. The people are pretty nice, but they are a little over bearing with liberal views, which is a bit ironic in itself. Also it's not really culturally diverse as people seem to think. Its really a bunch of white people who dont notice that there aren't really that many other minorities. Also traffic is pretty bad, but those are small prices to pay for a larger city. On the plus side, theres really no bad side of town, lots of music, and some good places to hang out outside. Oh and college station is nice, if you like living in a tumor off growth wishing it was part of Houston and like dirt farms.

Yes darlin. We welcome everyone here in Austin. We have a very diverse economy..and we have the university. The culture is laid back and their is plenty of things to do here! We have lakes for boating, trails for biking, a vibrant night life, trails for hiking and jogging, a lake in the middle of the city..and very beautiful people. I have lived in 4 states, 8 cities and 2 countries. Austin is by far the best place i have lived! SO come on down..we would love to have ya!

LOL tyler durden, I wouldn't go that far but yes, Austin is awesome as the rest of TEX despite of what others say

Austin is BAD.A.S.S.! If you are an unconventional, liberal person, you will absolutely love it! The city slogan is "Keep Austin Wierd!" I live in Texas, so I visit pretty regularly. I think I'll be going back this spring. I'm fixing to move away from TX in about a year, but if I EVER had to move back to the lone star state, Austin would be the only place I would live. They have an awesome night-life scene. The next time you go, you need to hit up 6th street. It's nothing but straight bars and clubs, and you will meet some of the craziest people EVER! I love it. And yes, Texas is known for having the most respectful and nicest people. Believe me, I've lived here all my life and have traveled all over the US, and people aren't as gracious anywhere else. And of course, we are also known for having the most beautiful women (cough cough) lol. I think moving to Austin would be one of the best decisions you will have ever made in your life. GO FOR IT!

True southern charm is what you'll find in Austin! Great people, great food, great music, awesome public transportation, outdoor festivals, free concerts, farmers markets, culturally diversified, keep Austin weird! and the list goes on and on! Don't listen to Trebelmade! The only reason you don't like Austin is because you live in College Station. Give me a break! If you haven't LIVED there then you don't know jack sh*t. Grow up!

If you're a hippy, then Austin is the perfect place to move! You could always date one of the Football players, granted they may get arrested for dog fighting or drugs while you're with them...but it will be nice for them to know they have someone on the outside.
If I were you, I wouldn't move to Austin. It's a dirty city, so is any large city.
I'm from College Station, just south of Austin...it's a nice town with lots of people as well as Texas A&M University. Great atmospehere...and lots of friendly people.
