Have any of you on here been to Savannah, Georgia?

What did you enjoy the most about it?

Say tough guy, I lived there when I was a kid. It is a beautiful old town. Its one of the oldest in the United States. There are a few great eating places there. My favorite is the Pirates House. Its an old pirates hideout in downtown, that is said to be haunted. there are tunnels that actually take you to the river. Also, if you like barbecue, try Carrie Hilliards. Great food! And Paula Deen has her restraunt there too. Its called Lady and Sons. Savannah is a great town, and you will love it!

The people! I loved the city. I stayed there for a month a few years back, and a part of me wish I had just stayed. It is a very different lifestyle from Atlanta. It is a gentile southern that Atlanta has forgotten. The music is eclectic, the food is incredible, and it is peaceful.

I used to live there, its a beautiful area and I really enjoyed the Boardwalk and St. Patrick's Parade and Oglethorpe mall.

i live like 30 min away from sav, ga its really nice you gotta go to river street and if you have time tybee island and the malls (2) shooping is great and the people, just stay out of the hood thats all

I went there with my wife (you know, the skank) about 8 years ago. We got totally trashed on jello shots and she kept passing out at all the restaurants there by the river boardwalk area. We took a cab to the hotel and went home late the next morning.

From what I remember, it was a great place.

no bit far for me i live in australia! but i would like to one day !

We stayed there over a long weekend last year. I love it! There was so much to do that we couldn't fit it all in.

There are so many different facets to Savannah: you can eat and party along the Riverfront, or you can tour the Historic District... our favorite was traveling 30 minutes and hanging out on Tybee Island.

People,historical buildings,food...everything is beyond any traveller's expectations!Amazing Town!
I particularly enjoy places that give you the feeling of "going back in the past".Places that have lots of history inside the city's walls and our legacy and patrimony is preserved, available for future generations.
I had a great time at "The Pirate's House Restaurant".

Nope, I'm going this weekend!

River Street!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
