What good hotels are in Atlanta, GA and near a Marta Station?

I'm looking for a reasonably price hotel/motel in Atlanta, Ga. We plan on using mostly public transportation so I want it to be very close to Marta Stations.

I always recommend the Wingate Inn at 6 Flags. Its very reasonably priced, about 89.00 per nite, and only 3 years old. They have a courtesy shuttle that can tale you to the marta station, which is only 5 minutes away. Very nice!

Um... withdrag, you said "Only one suggested hotel..." Did you not read where I suggested the Sheraton and Marriott at Peachtree Center? Please explain. I'll check back here for your comments. Report It

There are loads of business hotels near Peachtree Center. I stayed at Marriott Peachtree or Sheraton Peachtree--I forget which exactly--and the Marta stop was a short walk--5 minutes max if I recall.

Try Hotel Indigo. It is on Peachtree Street right across from the Fox theatre. The North Avenue Marta Station is a block away with entrances at North Avenue and West Peachtree or 3rd Street and West Peachtree. There are lots of restaurants in the area within walking distance as well.

Once you get out of downtown ATL, the terms "nice hotel" and "MARTA" are mutually exclusive

don't stay in Cham-bodia----nor College Park

You can search and choose hotel information, rates and availability for free in over 200 countries world wide at my profile.

there's thousands of rooms/hotels in downtown, midtown, buckhead, and dunwoody-sandysprings that are walking distance to marta stations (the north-south marta line). stay along peachtree road, piedmont road, or buford hiway. it might also be a good idea to rent a small car.

there are many good hotels in Atlanta at reasonable prices. The follow two websites list many of them and also show you the attractions and things to do while there. They are http://atlanta.nyctourist.com/
