Any town or hotel recommendation in Aquitaine area?

I am planning to leave Paris and stay in Aquitaine area from Aug 4-7. I know that there is a mimic festival MIMOS in Perigueux that would last till Aug 5. Is it good to see and worth a day staying there?
Then I plan to stay at Soulliac. Any good value hotel that you would recommend? I don't drive but I would bike. How is the road condition? How long would it take to bike from Souillac to Locave? Or is it easy to rent a car? and what is the cost?

If you're wrinting about Lacave, rather that Locave, the trip is very short: 12 km.
Make sure you visit caves while you're in the region.
