The effects of lightning on passengers of commercial flights when a plane suddenly passes through chargecloud?

I am a ticket/gate agent for an airline, and it happens more than you think. If the aircraft itself is hit by lightning the passengers wont notice, but the charge has to go somewhere and it usually exits out the wing tips, the landing gear, or through the nose of the aircraft. I have never seen any of these aircraft have to make an emergency landing, but the aircraft will cancel if there are obvious sines of lightning strike: ex burn marks on the areas listed above. The aircraft is literally striped and inspected from top to bottom and this process takes several days. If there is any damage it will be repaired, before the aircraft is placed back into service.

I have actually seen an aircraft at the hangar that had been struck by lightning, and they were in the inspection process. The carpet and seats were removed, sections of the ceiling and floor removed, sections on the wings and sides of the aircraft also. Maintenance looks at every piece of wiring etc before it gets put back in service.

No effect. In the long history I think there was only once a medium severe accident when lightening stroki into the planes tail during landing. otherwise no worries, it is safe.

hmmmm....maybe some soiled underwear??

No need to dog on Continental...lightning hits randomly as an act of God...no airline is immune to it.
