My dads going to thailand tomorrow, its a 12 hour flight from england, and i am worried and paranoid, help me? |
I keep thinking stupid thoughts, please give me any statistics and stuff that will help put my mind at ease, its the plane im worried about like crashing or something happening You are more likely to die in a car crash than a plane crash. You don't what your worried or paranoid about. look up the airlines stats. that helped me when i was nervous about flying. flying is scary but the percentage chances of an accident are really low. but if u find that airlines wikapedia it will say what year and how many accidents they have had. You are far more likely to get hit by a bus than to be involved in a plane crash - there are thousands of flights every day but you don't see them crash every day. If it's any consolation, there main risk is the drive to the airport. Dude, if you can go to the airport's website and get the flight satatus you can see exactly where the plane is on the globe. You might see a picture of the planet (or a part of it) and in small a little plane moving. That is your dad's plane. You can watch it until it arrives so you can fell better. Try killing time, like go on YouTube, on Newgrouns and other websites so you can do something while you wait. Try sleeping. You can try watching TV. (Don't watch Turbulence!! or any plane movies!!!). Watch something else instead, a comedy show, so you start putting some smiles on your face... (Did you know air travel is considered one of the safest ways of getting arround. You see every other type of accidents on TV every day, but plane crashes really don't happen. Hey I got to get on one tomorrow and I feel both excited and nervous) Flying is the safest form of travel and that's a fact.It can be normal to be worried though as we don't understand the technology behind flying.Once he has took off the chances of the plane crashing fall dramatically..Millions fly around the world every day in safety.Your dad will be only one of those millions. He will be fine. I would be more worried about what he gets up to ! the girls are irresistible and as for their massages 拢&)%$" When he returns, thats if he does, be understanding if he looks a bit jaded ! You have no need to worry Oliver. Below you will find a couple of web sites that should allay your fears. Your dads in safe hands. i ve been in two plane crashes only been on a plane twice The wings are meant to flap. You are right. The plane might crash.Another thing. He might have a heart attack or cacer or a stroke etc. Or he might get hit by a tree or a mugger or fall over a mountain. I can give you lots more. Maybe a bus will hit him or die in his sleep. I hope you get my point. The problem is not the flight. Its you. why worry? I go a few times a year and I feel safer than on the short flights which always seem to have turbulence, Your gonna put your dad on downer seeing you worrying, get your mind off it by thinking of what presents he can get you |
