Can you bring video camera and video tape inside the airport? |
'cause i want to video tape my trip to bangkok to show relatives what travelings like in america. also, may i bring a gps navation system on the plane, and does it work on the plane? (gps navagation system for car) You can bring your video camera with you no problem. You will not be able to film during takeoff and landing. The flight attendant will tell you when you can or cannot she/he will say something like you can now turn on approved electronic devices. yes..but you can't use it in someplaces hmmm good question.... i'd call the airport for info on that, no matter what company they would be able to tell you in what specific instances you can and cannot videotape at the airport, and if you need any permits to do so. i've seen lots of footage inside the actual plane and i don't think it interferes with their system. but i'm not sure if it applies to plane landing and taking off! ...about the gps.... hmm i have no idea, maybe the company that sells your gps should know, if it would work or not. If you do call, just explain them nicely what your plans are, that it's gonna be a home video. overall, i don't you'll have a problem, they'll ask you to put it through xrays (which does ruin photo films inside camera-not if unopened/new) Sure...follow the rules.. Sure you can, but I would be careful about what you videotape, I live in Bangkok and a couple of years ago a man was arrested at the airport for videotaping sensitive areas. As far as GPS systems, most airlines won't allow them, you need to check with your airline to see what their policy is. I don't know why you would want to anyway, most airlines have the on screen "airshow" that shows where you are, speed, temperature, wind etc. as well as the direction you're heading and the direction you came from, and it's not going to work anyway unless you have the software for your location. Sounds to me like you're setting yourself up to have a nice long chat with security officials by wanting to use videotape and gps devices at an airport or on an airplane. Yeah you can bring the camera. You can bring the GPS with you but I dont recommend bringing it. Besides, you probably wont be allowed to use it anyways. The plane has its own GPS system and yours might interfere with it. LEAVE YOUR GPS AT HOME. |
