What to do on the plane?

I'm going on a trip with my family in a few weeks, and the plane ride is five and a half hours long if all goes well. So what could I do on the plane? Eye spy? Hide and seek/ I really don't like the movies on the plane!! Please help. If you have any good book recommendations, please let me know. And I'm flying coach!

I was just kidding around with the eye spy and hide and seek. My bro is 14, and my sis is ten.

you can play cards with them. bring an mp3 player if you have one, books, homework if you have any (i know i know..but you still have to do them) any handheld game systems like a PSP or DS, portable DVD player with some DVDs magazines and if its an evening flight, you can sleep.

We always pack some "travel" games. Skip-Bo or Uno (by Mattel) are easily played on long haul flights. And games like Yahtzee are also great. If you're a sodoku addict or into crosswords, a book will keep you happily occupied for hours. There are also 'travel' Scrabble and Monopoly games. Go to your local "toy store" and see what they have.

Sleep, that is the best thing to do. Don't sleep to much the night before so you can sleep easier on the plane.

I am not sure how old the family are that you are traveling with - but since you mentionned eye spy and hide and seek, I am guessing you are traveling some children. I do not think hide and seek will work too well, but what about bringing along a coloring book and crayons, a puzzle book, word search, or other-type activity books. You could bring a few children's books to read as well.

Actually, when I go on an airplane, what i mostly do is VOMIT, i'm not lying about it!

We watch movies on our laptops, read, play coloring games. I also bought a magnetic checkers board that is alot of fun. 5 hours goes by so slow on a plane! Listen to your Ipod, read a good book - the book Kite Runner is good, and so is the new Steven King book - it's an edge of the seat type book that will definitely keep you glued to the book!

Have a good trip!

u can read a book. look at the catalouge. listen to music. stare out the window. i have a suggestion for a book but it depends on your age. if u r in midde school like me i LOVE the clique by lisi harrison. also crosswords and logic puzzles rox

When I traveled alone on my first domestic flight last December 18th from LaGuardia to Cleveland for vacation, I mostly read book, have apple juice from Stewardess or snack.
On my narrow flight, most people use laptop (notebook), study, or read book. I also read book also.
If you love to read book, choose your favorite book that maybe interesting book like Stormy, Misty's Foal by Marguerite Henry and illustrated by Wesley Dennis. (the story of Misty's first foal).
It is very interesting.
