Approximently, how big are the airplane seats? Width wise?

Width wide, economy class seats are usually 17-19", depending on your seat. Sitting in the bulkead row means that your seat width is cut by 10%, however it provides around 15% more leg room., which normally stands at 29" - 34" depending on the airline.

Sitting in an exit row, again, your seat width is cut by 10% due to the tray table being stowed into your armrest. Howvever, the leg room is unlimited.

In Business/First Class, the seat width ranges from 23" - 35". The leg room in Business/First class is around 40" - 81", depending on the airline and the length of your flight.
