Will these classes benefit me in becoming a flight attendant? |
After I am done with Highschool I am going to flight school to be a flight attendant. I have taken 2 years of Spanish, and next year I am taking Pyschology and Public Speaking. Will them classes help me be more successful in becoming a flight attendant? If you could give me some advice that would be very nice. yes these classes will assist you in your goal of becoming successful as a flight attendant. some other courses to consider: social and behavioral communications, a basic writing class (to ensure you well-document incident reports), a cultural diversity class so you can learn about the idiosyncricies of other cultures and a business communications class to hone your skills in communicating with all types of people. a basic first aid course would also be an idea - the airlines will teach you some first aid, but you should be very familiar with how to deal with minor injuries and other common ailments like someone thinking they are having a heart attack, panic attack, etc. A high-school diploma or GED is a must, so if you're in school now, STAY IN SCHOOL. If you have quit or dropped out, it's never too late to go back and get your diploma. For all airlines, it is a requirement for employment. Additional schooling, which can improve your chances of acceptance, includes sociology, psychology, history, geography, and foreign languages. |
