Getting plane tickets late & fast?

I've heard if you go to an airport, and wait around without a ticket, you can buy one just before the flight for a tiny price.
How likely is this to happen? How do i go about it? Where do i ask for any spare tickets?

well not for tiny price but you can bu your ticket at the airport
but there will be more the 75% change that your boarding pass
will be issued with the dread SSSS which entitles you a secondary screening by the TSA even sometimes pat down search)
(happen to me I bought ticket for to lax from SFO and I used
travelers check and I got to "Visit" with the TSA agent
and my boarding pass read SSSS

it's a myth. Plan ahead, look for a good deal, and jump on it.

I don't think it's a lie or a myth, then again, i don't know anyone who has done that!

supposedly you have to go to a travel agency that's inside the actual airport and buy a LAST SECOND TICKET (not a last minute ticket!) usually you pay around 1/5 the full price!

If you want a tiny price for a ticket DON'T buy it at the airport. You'll need to surf the internet and the airlines for last minute deals.
