Any United flight attendants out there?

The email I recieved said to wear a business suit. I want to stand out so anyone have any good ideas on what to wear. Is a jacket and skirt with a colorful top acceptable? I dont think I will wear navy blue since everyone will be wearing that. What did you all wear to your interview? Also how long were you there? It said to expect 6 hours so I booked my flight leaving late that evening. Any info could help, Im a bit nervous. Thanks!

I for some reason forgot to list that this is an interview. I just passed the phone interview and now Im off to Chicago.

The best advice I can give you is to wear a dark, solid colored suit. Whether it's a pant suit or skirt suit doesn't really matter. If your hair is long enough to be put up, then do so (VERY neatly). Wear nice daytime makeup. Try to relax, it's normal to be nervous. It typically doesn't take a full six hours, but better to be safe instead of missing your flight. Good luck!!!

I've read statistics that show the color navy blue increases sales, and really in an interview you are selling yourself to your potential employers. I think that the outfit you are describing sounds appropriate though, and you will probably stand out. As long as you don't make the top too busy with patterns. Keep it simple, bright and cheerful colors. Make sure everything coordinates and if you wear jewelery keep it minimal. Clean-well manicured nails. And to top it off a clean up-do. Good luck! I hope you land the job! :)

Wear what works, dark blue or not. As long as you look the part, they wont be fussed. Also, your goal is NOT to stick out.

For the record, I did a total of four airline interviews for three airlines (passed three, got to last cut with the first). I wore a knit suit (not good) and a beige suit to two. It had small stripes going down and the cut was slimming but I can't recommend beige overall. It can be hard to "pull off" but at least I didn't look like everyone else. I wore a business-type dress for the last one. It was a deep rose color with a scarf.

Just stay away from knit dresses! That was the interview I didn't get...

Good luck!
