Pepper spray on a airplane?

Is it OK to travel internationaly with pepper spray in my checked in baggage?

Checked - yes. On the plane - no.

It's listed as ok on the TSA web site in checked bags only.

I would'nt think so. And it can discharge at any time. Not a good idea. It's also illegal in many areas.

Call the airline and ask.

I don't think so anymore. They may go through your luggage to check it all now too. Check on the airline's website to review their policies or call your travel agent or airport to find out. I lost one at the airport when it on was on my keychain in my purse years ago before 911.

There is a new tool that you can carry on your keychain that my friend learned to use at Karate. It's is made of wood, I think. If I find out, I will post it here.
