Pepperspray on a airplane?

Is it ok to travel with pepperspray in my checked in baggage on a international flight?

From an airline standpoint if in checked bags it's probably OK, check with your carrier. But be aware that the LOCAL laws where you are travelling to may forbid posession of pepper spray leaving you open to arrest for carrying a weapon.

Not a good idea in checked luggage. On international flights you will need to check and see if the country you are entering allows it. It's illegal in some countries.

i think its okay with check in baggage.. but not sure with carry on.. check out with airlines regulation..
