How will upcoming Merger of NWA and Delta affect my price?

I'm going to be going to Cinncinatti in a month but haven't bought a ticket yet. I'll likely be flying NWA or Delta. Do you thing the proposed merger will have any sizeable affect on prices in the near future?

If (when?) the merger is announced, it still has to be reviewed by the Department of Justice. That could take anywhere from weeks to a year or more. It's not like the merger would be announced and the next day Delta's taking down Northwest's logos and putting up Delta signs. So go ahead and buy your ticket on Delta since Cincinnati's our hub.

It will cause prices to increase as there will be less competition among airlines.
